Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, in the beautiful Shuswap region, Copper Island Grill and Games Room is dedicated to bringing life back to this tranquil corner of the world! While many businesses close or reduce their hours in the winter, leaving communities like Chase, Scotch Creek, Blind Bay, Salmon Arm, and Sorrento without much to do, we are here to change that.

We’ve created a space that’s buzzing with energy! Upstairs, you’ll find a cozy pub, and downstairs, an exciting games room complete with 4 pool tables, Buck Hunter HD, 4-way air hockey, Hoop Fever basketball, foosball, 2 Maximum Tune race simulators, and a sit-down bar. We also serve delicious food and offer karaoke, live jams, bands, and more!

Our 24-room inn features modern amenities like room service, Wi-Fi, cable, TVs, kitchenettes, king suites, 2-bedroom suites, and queen and double-bed rooms. Each room has stunning views of Shuswap Lake, and the upper floor rooms include private patios with a breathtaking lake view.

We are deeply committed to our community and are passionate about seeing the area thrive. We know how important it is for our youth to have places to gather and stay out of trouble, which is why we’re starting a youth pool league. We’re also working to establish a designated driving service so everyone can have a responsible and safe way to get home after a fun night out. Our mission is to make the Shuswap area an even better, more exciting place to live and celebrate year-round.

In addition, we noticed a gap in the community and decided to open a laundromat! With brand-new equipment, it’s open 24 hours a day, making it easy to get your laundry done at any time.

I’m Dawson, and I’ve spent my entire career in customer service. From delivering bread to managing golf courses, working in housekeeping, to bartending, I’ve always found myself in this industry.
​
I first came to Sorrento in 2020, and instantly fell in love with this charming town. The sunset that evening was breathtaking, and everything just felt right. It was in that moment that I knew I wanted to bring my family here and start a new chapter in our lives.
Soon after, I noticed a common concern among residents: there wasn’t much to do during the winter months, especially in town. Recognizing a need, I decided to take action.

In June of 2021, I purchased the Pub and Hotel, determined to create a place the community could enjoy and be proud of. We introduced live bands, karaoke, jam nights, and food and drink specials. But I felt there was still more we could offer. That’s when we decided to create the Pool Hall and Games Room downstairs. I’m incredibly proud of what my team and I have accomplished since opening, but we’re just getting started. There are still many challenges ahead.

These past few years have been tough on many of us, especially in the hospitality industry, which has faced constant setbacks. That’s why I’m deeply grateful for the support we’ve received, not only for my businesses but for every pub and restaurant in the area. We need your support now more than ever!
